My interest in textile goes back to 1976 when I worked in a Kimono design studio in Tokyo, Japan. It was a great opportunity to become of aware the beauty of Japanese traditional design as well as an appreciation of colour. Although it was a brief experience the interest has lasted ever since.

I came to England in 2003. I have taken the chance to learn weaving, spinning and dyeing at the Frome Textile Workshop and at the Adult learning class in Wells as well as some other workshops. 

I took textile course at Bath Spa University, 2009-2011. Through these activities I have learned the concept of surface design and developed my technical skill.

My work has been shown in some exhibitions.
